I specialize in cuts, color and foils for dimensional hues. While my many long standing clients will attest to my expert styling technique, I feel my greatest gift is my ability to listen and to really achieve what you are looking for in your appointment. I am committed to refining my profession and enjoy many classes that can help me advance my creativity. I love to stay current on trends in this ever changing industry. Mark Starnes is a seasoned, but always fresh, over 30 year hairdresser. He did an internship for a year following beauty school. He has had years of on the job training in Bling Bling Blonde Hilites, Sun kissed settle color effects…His signature “Naughty Bob” haircut, which can be graphic or Chanel! Loves short to long hair! He has a gift for bringing out the best of natural curly hair. Mark has been dubbed “The Lord of the Follicle”! He has had the pleasure of being paid by the 80’s Rock Band the Go Go’s…doing Ruth Lilly’s hair (great grand daughter of Eli Lilly & Co,) for 20 years. Over 20 years of experience in the beauty business, has allowed me to develop a passion for making your salon experience memorable. I thrive on continuing education and keeping abreast of new trends and techniques with cutting courses from Vidal Sassoon and color instruction from world-renown suppliers such as Goldwell, Redken and Framesi. I believe I set myself apart with my ability to develop long-lasting relationships by paying attention to details, genuinely listening to you, and taking the time to find out exactly what will make you happy. My diverse clientele leaves my chair knowing that what matters to me is their confidence and security. Providing services such as make-up, up-dos and eyelashes for special events, such as weddings, has provided me with a great deal of happiness and I feel fortunate to have shared in those days with 100s of brides and their wedding parties. I have been blessed in my career to work on the west coast for many years and now here in the Midwest.
